According to Public Relation department of the ICT Ministry, he also referred to ongoing talks and discussions regarding various projects, adding that: “At the time being, the exchange level of goods and merchandise between Iran and Russia is not high, and what we expect from developing relations is the expansion of this type of trade.”
He referred to the agreement made between the Presidents of both countries regarding Railroad projects, and construction of Thermal Power Station, expressing that: “Within the framework of the Joint Economic Commission, more than 40 projects are being considered, and we are expecting the possibility of their realization.”
He also spoke of the priority of establishing free trade environment especially in the agricultural products sector, stating that: “Today an agreement was signed in this regard, and it is our expectation to witness a further opening of the markets of both countries for such exports in very near future.”
Shuvalov expressed optimism about the implementation of future projects, praising Dr. Vaezi for activation of the Joint Economic Commission, and said that: “We hope to see that the current level of relations between the heads of states will also spread to representatives of the private sector, resulting in the economic development of both countries.”
He concluded by saying: “We are interested to not only see the bilateral development and expansion of cooperation between our countries, but also to develop joint collaboration with other nations in form of multilateral cooperation.”
