Vaezi in Paris on the Onset of Rouhani’s Visit

The International Affairs General Director of ICT Ministry reports of Dr. Vaezi’s trip to France with the objective of starting negotiations with the French officials, regarding expansion of cooperation in communication, IT and also Aerospace sector, just before the arrival of President Rouhani and the accompanying delegation.

 The Public Relation Center of Communication and Information Technology Ministry, quoting Dr. Malek, the Ministry’s General Director of International Affairs, referred to the expansion of bilateral cooperation with advanced countries of the world, reporting of Dr. Vaezi’s trip to France accompanied by 15 private sector representatives of companies active in the IT sector, just before the arrival of the presidential delegation which is currently in Italy.

Malek also included: “On this trip, Dr. Vaezi is going to visit companies and organizations active in IT and Aerospace sector, and hold negotiations with them; some of which include Airbus, Telecom, and the Orange corporations.

The International Affairs General Director of ICT emphasized that: “These visits and meetings with well-known and major companies take place with the objective of developing bilateral cooperation with France in the fields of Information Technology and Aerospace; whereas in communication and IT, the negotiations are focused on expanding cooperation in advisory services, foreign investment in ICT sector of Iran, transfer of technical know-how in this field to the country, joint production and manufacturing in ICT sectors, bilateral cooperation in research and development, joint implementation of R&D projects, mutual cooperation in scientific, technological, and standard setting subjects, sharing experiences in designing and implementing digital communication protocols and regulations including management and monitoring of frequency range, license issuance, all activities related to communication regulatory, bilateral cooperation and sharing information regarding policymaking in the fields of ICT, innovation and supporting SME’s, also increasing cooperation in private sectors for benefiting from special occasions to hold specialized exhibitions which can result in strengthening bilateral relationship in commercial and industrial areas, and ICT-related capital investments.

Dr. Malek also included that: “In the visits and meetings of the Aerospace sector, there will also be negotiations regarding cooperation in the joint implementation of national telecommunication satellite, long term cooperation in parallel with technology transfer, collaborating in utilization of practical distance measurement technologies, cooperation in manufacturing the National Satellite, and finally, frequency cooperation with French companies.”

He concluded by stating that: “In order to further develop bilateral relations between Iran and France, the ICT Minister also intends to meet other ministers
