According to Public Relation Center of the ICT Ministry, in this phone conversation which took place this morning, Dr. Vaezi referred to the April visit of Dr. Rouhani to Ankara, and also the holding of the 25th session of the Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, announcing the readiness of Iran to follow-up on the agreements made on that visit and the ensuing commission, with the help of his Turkish counterpart, stating that: “The Islamic Republic of Iran wishes for speedy implementation and realization of those agreements, following the establishment of the new Turkish government.”
Vaezi congratulated the appointment of his Turkish counterpart as the representative of Turkey in the Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, expressing that: “In consideration of the $30 Billion targeting for the relations between our two countries for next year, Iran intends to mobilize the required capacities for realization of this objective.”
The Turkish party also emphasized in turn on the important position of the I.R. of Iran in bilateral relations and regional issues, for the Turkish government, expressing his preparedness to travel to Iran at the very first opportunity, to coordinate and establish the roadmap of economic relations between Iran and Turkey.
In this phone conversation, strengthening the level of bilateral relations in all sectors, and the need of regional cooperation, was discussed by both parties.
It should be mentioned that topics such as energy, transportation, commercial tourism, trade, and industrial cooperation are some of the key sectors which make up the relations of these two nations.
The quick appointment of Mr. Nihat Zeybekci, the Turkish Economy Minister who is one of the key members of the new government, shows the importance of the position of the I.R. of Iran in economic, commercial, and political relations for the new government of Turkey.
