Deputy of Strategic Planning and Control of ICT announced: Defining 14 Main Indicators for Developing National IT

14 Main Indicators have been defined domestically due to develop Information Technology.

PR of the Ministry of ICT– Abd-al Madjid Riazi, Deputy of Strategic Planning and Control of ICT said: “These indicators have been approved by the cabinet after checking and studying”.
“The mentioned indicators have been codified according to the fifth national development plan’s law which is in turn of Majlis for approving”, he added.
He pointed that according to one of the awards approved by Joint Commission of the parliament; ministry of ICT should codify and implement the control system of ICT indicators due to evaluate the situation in national, regional, and international dimensions.
Deputy of Strategic Planning and Control of ICT continued: “Therefore all the executive organizations and non-governmental associations will be responsible for preparing and giving the required and related information and statistics to the ministry. Then the ministry will present the report of realizing the annual defined aims to the parliament”.
He talked about the specifications of 14 defined main indicators in this area and said: “In this area about 50 sub-indicators have been recognized and we are trying to finalize them domestically”.
He emphasized that these 14 indicators can cover the most important international indicators, because some of them are taken from the global indicators which are defined by the international agencies and can be useful in national situation.
Deputy of Strategic Planning and Control of ICT pointed: “If the defined indicators would be realized, the position of Iran will be better in all over the world and we will obtain the second situation through 25 region countries in ICT area”.
He explained the defined indicators and said: “IDI is one of the indicators which has been defined by ITU and it has been predicted that it will reach to 6.22 up to the end of the fifth plan”.
He added: “Now and according to the international statistics Electronic Readiness Indicator of Iran is 0.4 that will reach to 0.8 if the predicted programs will be implemented”.
Abd-al Madjid Riazi continued: “The other defined indicator in this area is the Number of the Given High Speed Ports which is one of subsets of IDI but because of its importance it has been into consideration independently. We hope to give High Speed Port to 50percent of the applicants up to the end of the fifth plan”.
He restated that giving National Intelligent Card and e-Healthy Record to all Iranians and offering all Inter-Organization e-Services are the other indicators in this area.
Deputy of Strategic Planning and Control of ICT pointed that one of domestic indicators is Money Exchange Indicator and e-Payment of Quasi Money.
As he said e-Learning Development is the other indicator and the average of 30percent of the whole of educations containing university, high, secondary and elementary and even organizational educations should be present electronically.
He emphasized: “Implementing 20 percent of domestic trade and 30percent of foreign trade and offering 70 percent of the organizational services to the people electronically are the other codified indicators”.
Abd-al Madjid Riazi continued that 100 percent Cadastre Development in the cities and the villages and 100 percent National Geographic Data Infrastructure Development and Implementation can be referred as the other defined indicators.
He pointed: “Also the other defined indicators for IT development are including reaching 1.5 percent of Non Oil Export by the Export of ICT Services and Productions and ERP Development up to 60 percent”.
