CEO of Post Co.: Financial Post Service will be launched this week

On this 9 October, World Post Day, the financial Post services will be established and launched in the country.

Dr. Mohammad Hassan Mohebian Araghi, Chairman of the board and CEO of Post Co. in a news conference on the occasion of World Post Day said: " The possibility for exchanging bank payments to the other member states has provided with Iran's membership in IFS in UPU ".
"Accordingly, all Iranians who lives interior and abroad can use the exchange services up to five thousand dollars", he added.
He pointed that the compound serviced will be provided in the country by launching this service.
CEO of Post Co. referred that the mentioned service does not include economic boycotts and emphasized: "Financial Post service is limited and provides services to the citizens and it doesn't include big business purchases".
He referred to providing the first Postal operator in his speech and continued: "The license will be issued in 11th of October and the operator will be operated officially with the President attendance ".
"The First postal operator has more than 15 thousand units across the country provides the required services to the applicants", he emphasized.
Mohammad Hassan Mohebian Araghi said that more than one billion letters have been delivered by postal network in the country now and continued we hope this number will be increased to more than four billion letters by launching the first operator and the private sector cooperation.
He added: "The authority section will be established as a center in the ministry of ICT after the first postal operator licensing in order to make policies and provide USO services".
He expressed that the private companies active in this area will be organized after the first postal operator license notifies officially and added:" All activists in post arena should receive their needed licenses from the Ministry of ICT".
Chairman of the board in Post Co. by comparing the company's performance during the third and fourth plan said: "The investment made in this sector in the third development Plan was about 77 billion Tumans that has been reached to 285 billion Tumans in the forth development plan with 400 percent of growth".
He pointed : the postal traffic has been reached to one billion and 200 thousand letter at the end of the third development plan that it will be reached to more than four billion letters with four times of growth.
CEO of Post Co. said that 20 kinds of memorial stamps are approved by the Supreme Council of stamp and asserted:" Now, stamp publishing for Iraq and Afghanistan are done by Iran in addition of publishing the joint stamp with 35 countries".
He about IT-based services said: Now, 750 Offices provide the online services for the applicants and we hope that this number will be increased to one thousand and five hundred Offices till the end of the current year.
He pointed to the implementing services and said that regulating public services to the homes is the other services that will be launched from the current 9th of October.
It has been designed in a complete postal package form through that every public bill, advertisements, justice notifications and insurance will be distributed between the applicants equally.
Mohammad Hassan Mohebian said that the mentioned pilot has been implemented in Khorasan, Ghom and Hamedan provinces successfully and enumerated some virtues of this service such as reducing the costs, saving the time and increasing the productivity .
"The postal offices will be connected to the PPCC (Presidential Public Communication Center) from 9th of October and will send people's application to the government as a bridge between people and government", he added.
Mohammad Hassan Mohebian Araghi asserted: "Also, a MOU has been signed between the Army and Post Co. in order to do the affairs related to gallantry card by Post for the army and soldiers who have served in the military".
CEO of post Co. in response to a question regarding the recent parliamentary bill about ICT offices said: "the regulations have been adopted despite the government opposition in which the postal services were deleted from these offices' duties".
"But for the huge volume of exchanges in this part these services will be provided to the applicants through creating new units and developing the access points as well as cooperating with other sectors in this area", he continued.
He emphasized: "therefore, offices that have new software provided by the post Co. would be allowed to do postal services".
