PR of the Ministry of ICT - Ali Nemati, member of the board of Post Bank of Iran said:" The total number of people who has already registered for subsidies on the site of the Ministry of Welfare is 20 million".
" 10 thousand of rural ICT offices, 3 thousand of urban ICT office as well as 400 branches of Post bank across the country, have been known as Post bank contact points with people", he added.
He pointed:" Therefore about 70 percent of total people who have opened a bank account to receive the subsidies through Post bank are from villages".
Member of the board of Post Bank said that all of rural ICT offices have been equipped by core banking system and continued that all accounts opened for targeted subsidies are online.
"Post Bank of Iran has won the sixth rank among the country's banks in terms of the number of people opened an account in this area according to the relevant authorities' announcement", he continued.
Ali Nemati pointed that post bank role in the field of justice share payment has been highlighted in the country's banking system before and emphasized: the main goals of Post bank are including: attending in the remote areas and providing cheaper services to the rural people.
"So, Post Bank of Iran has been able to provide banking services for villagers through 10 thousand of rural ICT Offices and reduce a large volume of unnecessary trips to the cities", he asserted.
