As ICT’s public relation reported, Dr. Mohammad Karam Pour in the ceremony of awarding license of exploiting Iran scientific network, stated that: by executing this project, all the universities and scientific centers which produce valuable data, can log in this network and make the data disposable for people.
He with pointing the approval of the comprehensive scientific map, added: awarding this license can provide the available substructures for executing this comprehensive map and make the reversal of data transferring operational.
The deputy of Communication minister with pointing to the leadership emphasis on producing software sciences in country said that: this instruments’ making will reach us to the defined goals.
Dr. Ta’eb, the deputy of Science, Research and Technology minister and the head of Iran Research Organization for Science and Technology also with saying that this network act as a united and correlative complex, asserted that the first generation of Iran scientific network was established in the year 1998 with the substructure provided by Iran governmental Telecommunication company which with awarding this license, the second generation of this network enter the executing phase, this report contains.
He added: this network is a dedicated network for universities, scientific centers, science and technology parks.
The deputy of Science minister pointed that this network will be made and ready to use up to the next 3 years and stated: in the 1st phase, 10 universities of Tehran will be under cover of this network which the executing operations have been started.
He asserted that based on this tripartite agreement between Information Technology Org., Iran Telecommunication Co. and Iran Research Organization for Science and Technology, universities’ all necessary instruments and facilities will supply by IT Org. and essential related substructure by Iran Telecommunication Company.
The head of Iran Research Organization for Science and Technology said that: “this organization is responsible for managing, conducting and supervising the data production process and defining the users.
By exploiting this network, Iran network of students’ thesis, universities’ digital libraries and giving Electronic services by some Iranian scientific magazines will be operational, he emphasized.
