PR of the Ministry of ICT- Vahid Sadoughi, CEO of MCI said:"This service has not officially launched yet, but the testing process has been done in the villages and we are preparing the regulations and rules to get the necessary permits from the Central Bank".
"This service makes possible to transfer money via mobile phones and it will be provided throughout the country by the central bank permission", he added.
CEO of MCI about Hamrah-e-Avval network quality and monitoring said:" online monitoring to review the network quality is provided for CRA and also several different teams are prepared to control the network quality regularly from MCI".
"According to the license provided by the Ministry of ICT, disconnection amount of calls must be less than two percent whereas, it is bout eight –tenth percent based on the existent information", he continued.
He said that more than 150 emergency mobile phone sites have been created in Hamrah-e-Avval now in order to use in unexpected events such as floods, earthquakes or when the fixed sites are not prepared because of the event and accidents".
Vahid Sadoughi said that there was no notification for changing mobile network tariffs and emphasized:" some global operators such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE has give discount to Hamrah-e-Avval subscribers and we are going to get from other operators, too".
He described Hamrah-e-Avval discounts for Hajjis this year and said:"Iranian pilgrims' call tariffs have been decreased from 27 thousand to four thousand and 450 Rials/minute that accordingly, the pilgrims' traffic has been increased from 500 percent in text messages section and 700 percent in call conversation".
He said:"Based on the agreement, hereafter Hamrah-e-Avval subscribers' calls with Etisalat network of UAE will be discounted by 60%, hereafter, the costs of international calls in UAE with Iran will be 7,100 Rials/minute and cost of each sent SMS will be 800 Rials".
He pointed to the number of subscribers and continued: "Hamrah-e-Avval has sold about 49 million SIM cards, which 46 million has been recorded and 34 million and 600 thousand active subscribers use the network".
